First Day are independent promotors based in Cardiff who have a passion for music. Tired of missing out on their favourite bands to cities in England, First Day began putting on their own shows in late 2012. After a couple of small gigs with rising local bands January 2013 saw a huge booking; Peter Hook & The Light. Looking for a warm up gig for his first tour with New Order material, Peter Hook chose Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff and it sold out in days.
Since then First Day have worked with a range of bands in venues reaching from 100 to 600 capacity throughout the city of Cardiff. Our philosophy is simple, to bring the music we love to the city we live in.
Our acts so far have included Peter Hook, Bright Light Bright Light, Tribes, Peasant’s King, This is The Kit, WAYULS, Thousand Fingers, Bad Names, Desert Stars
